Jefferson City leaders to meet with waste company about curbside recycling

Curbside recycling is the topic of discussion at a meeting Monday night in Jefferson City’s council chambers.

Representatives from Republic Serivces will present concerns in continuing to provide recycling services to the city under its current model.

The meeting comes after the company suspended it’s curbside recycling services to the rest of Cole County in early April. Officials said the services were stopped due to the global recycling crisis that made the current recycling model unsustainable.

The full meeting agenda and publication by Governing and Republic Services can be seen by following this link.
