Lots of Sunshine Friday, Tracking on-and-off weekend rain chances

THIS AFTERNOON: Already seeing some breaks of sunshine into this afternoon. Clouds will slowly tend to clear from west to east through the early evening. By 6 & 7 pm a cold front will quickly track through the area bringing a chance at a quick-hitting shower or even a storm. Temperatures will drop into the low 60s behind the front.

TONIGHT: We’re tracking all of the clouds clearing out this evening. Temperatures drop into the upper 40s. You’ll need the light jacket out the door in the morning.

EXTENDED: Friday looks like a wonderful day to get out– maybe for a run to the store, walking the dog. Anything that you want to do outside looks great. Temperatures will be a bit on the cool side as we struggle to make it into the mid and upper 60s. We’ll also notice a gusty northwest breeze up to 20 mph through the later morning and early afternoon. It looks like there will be a chance for rain showers Saturday morning. A rumble of thunder can’t be ruled out. The afternoon Saturday looks dry to get out and about. Sunday, another shot at rain arrives later in the afternoon and evening. Rain continues into Monday.
