Rain chances hard to move out of the area

WEDNESDAY: We’ll continue the theme of hit and miss showers heading out the door this morning. We’re tracking another batch of moisture moving in out of northwest Arkansas this morning and looks to be taking aim at some of the counties south of I-70. That chance will linger for many of the same counties into this afternoon as our stationary boundary stubbornly starts sliding out of the area. Temperatures will struggle to get back to 70 this afternoon with plenty of cloud cover to go around.

TONIGHT: Clouds look to stick around tonight as well. Temperatures will drop into the low 50s once again tonight, with light winds out of the northwest, but it looks like we’ll stay dry overnight.

EXTENDED: As we head into the day Thursday, we’ll be tracking another front into and through the region, keeping rain chances around for another day with highs topping out in the middle 70s. We can’t end the week on a better note, with Friday seeing plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 70s once again. It looks like it will be a short-lived bright spot, however, as more rain chances move in late Friday night into Saturday. Temperatures stick around near 70 on Sunday, with skies clearing up before more rain chances move in by Monday. Check back with ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast updates.
