Man accused of misusing 911 charged in Callaway County
Charges have been filed in Callaway County against a man accused of misusing 911.
Wayne L. Brondel, 53, of Auxvasse, was arrested early Wednesday morning at a home in the 6000 block of Country Road 260.
Brondal is accused of calling emergency dispatchers 16 times in five hours.
According to court documents, Brondal grabbed what looked like a gun from his kitchen when deputies went to take him into custody around 2 a.m.
Deputies later returned the home and took Brondal into custody without further issues.
Prosecutors have charged Brondel with one misdemeanor count of misusing 911.
Brondel was also convicted in 2013 on the same charge.
