Motorcycle rider hospitalized after west Columbia crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A motorcycle rider was hospitalized Thursday after a collision with a car in west Columbia.

First responders were called to the crash at Fairview Road and Middlebush Drive a little before 10 a.m. Firefighters got there in about 7 minutes and started treating the motorcycle rider, who was down on the road when they arrived, Columbia Fire Departement Assistant Chief Clayton Farr Jr. said.

The rider was taken to a hospital by ambulance but other details, such as the extent of the rider's injuries or a condition update, were not available.
