Morgan County man facing multiple felonies

A Morgan County man faces multiple drug charges after perscription durgs and a gun were allegedly found in his truck.

Morgan deputies were called to the Versailles Walmart Thursday after William Baur was reported sleeping in his truck. Deputies say Versailles officers and firefighters were at the scene when they arrived.

After arriving, Baur allegedly allowed authorities to search his vehicle. Apparently, deputies found an illegally modified rifle under the driver’s seat and a black bag in the back of the truck.

Deputies say Baur consented to authorities to search the bag. Court documents show a K-9 search alerted to drugs inside the bag. After a search, deputies say drug paraphernalia, multiple perscription drugs, marijuana and methamphetamine were inside.

After arriving at the Morgan County Jail, Baur allegedly told deputies he more drugs with him. He reportedly had the drugs in a small container. Baur faces several felonies including drug possession, delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.
