Chilly start to the weekend, rain likely with snow for some

TONIGHT: Some clouds build tonight as temperatures drop close to freezing again, but most areas will be above 32 degrees through the night. Our far northern counties may drop below 32 by morning. Westerly winds become light through the night, allowing wind chills to only drop a few degrees below the actual air temperature tomorrow morning.

SATURDAY: Expect early sunshine with clouds increasing across the area by afternoon. Showers slide in from the south by evening, spreading rain across all of Mid-Missouri overnight. Lows fall into the low to mid-30s.

EXTENDED: Areas north of I-70 will have a chance of wet snow with little to no accumulation Sunday morning as temperatures start near freezing. Roads should be in good shape with a warm ground, but grassy and elevated surfaces could see a quick dusting under an inch. Showers continue for the rest of Sunday with highs only making the upper 40s or low 50s. Temperatures spike back above normal next week with the low 70s by Monday. More changes are on the way by the middle of next week as we track our next storm system. Check back with ABC 17 News on-air and online to get the latest forecast updates.>
