Cooler air settles in, rain returns for part of the weekend

TONIGHT: As a cold front dips south skies will slowly clear through the night as winds gradually shift out of the west. Winds will stay breezy with gusts up to 25 mph. Temperatures fall quickly back into the upper 30s by morning. Grab that coat!

FRIDAY: Skies will be bright around Mid-Missouri, but it remains chilly with a westerly breeze and highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: The weekend will be cool with highs in the mid-50s, and a chance of rain by late Saturday night. We’ll have to watch closely Sunday morning across northwest Missouri for the possibility of some wet snow mixing with rain early in the morning. Showers continue for the rest of Sunday with highs only making the upper 40s or low 50s. Temperatures spike back above normal next week with the low 70s by Monday.
