Three people in custody following Callaway County drug bust

Three people are in custody after the Missouri State Highway Patrol made a drug bust on Interstate 70 Monday.

Dnasia L. Chism, 29, Quadyde N. Kelly, 25, both of Evansville, Indiana, and Myrtis C. Chism, 26, of Los Angeles, California, were arrested by troopers around 5 p.m.

According to the Highway Patrol, nearly 6 pounds of methamphetamine, more than 3 pounds of marijuana, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in their vehicle.

The Highway Patrol said the drugs were valued at nearly $218,000.

The trio was arrested on several possible charges including first-degree drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

At last check, prosecutors in Callaway County haven’t filed formal charges.
