Person injured when hit by vehicle
A person was hurt after being hit by a vehicle Monday in downtown Columbia.
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash but a person in a motorized wheelchair was hit by a vehicle and suffered moderate injuries at Providence Road and Ash Street.
Several Columbia Police Department officers, a Columbia Fire Department truck and an ambulance were sent to the scene.
The crash happened at about 2:15 p.m.
