Indiana man sends police on multi-county chase in mid-Missouri

An Indiana man sent police on a multi-county chase Sunday night that began in St. James, went through Maries County and ended in Westpahlia.

Jeremy W. Krugg,32, had multiple warrants out for his arrest, and when police tried to pull him over in St. James, he sent them on a chase with speeds exceeding 100 MPH. Krugg nearly struck a St. James Police Officer as he resisted arrest, the Maries County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

The chase ended after the vehicle was spike stripped in Westphalia. Police found drugs in the vehicle as well as drug items.

The Vienna Police Department, Osage County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Highway Patrol also assisted in the arrest.
