Rain chances drop for Friday, but more rain is possible through the weekend

TONIGHT: We’ll carry deep cloud cover into the overnight hours and that will help keep today’s warmth insulated at the surface. Temperatures will be slow to drop through the 50s, and we’ll be mild to start Friday with temperatures in the upper 40s. Fog may develop through the night.

FRIDAY: Fog is possible for the morning commute with leftover moisture in place. The day will start out cloudy, but with clouds breaking by the afternoon we may see some sunshine later in the day. Highs rebound into the mid 60s.

EXTENDED: As we head into the weekend, we’ll be tracking another chance of rain. Showers move back in Saturday evening continuing into Sunday morning. Looking at the latest data, there are a few ingredients that could lead to some stronger storms late in the day Saturday, but chances are marginal. After Sunday morning rain, most areas dry out Sunday afternoon, but some redevelopment is possible along the I-44 corridor by the afternoon and evening. Rain chances move out late Sunday night, giving us a chance to dry out Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures in the middle to upper 60s.
