The Mizzou basketball team lost its first home game of the season, 73-59, to NC State Saturday. Anthony “Cat” Barber scored a game high 33 points for the Wolfpack. Mizzou trailed NC State 29-28 at the half, but the Wolfpack outscored the Tigers 44-31 in the 2nd half. Mizzou falls to 5-5 on the season.

A man charged in connection to a crash that killed a Mid-Missouri trooper pleaded not-guilty in court Thursday. 20-year-old Serghei Comerzan, of Mexico, is charged with felony 2nd degree murder, felony resisting arrest and four other misdemeanors for the incident. On Thursday Comerzan appeared in court for arraignment. Comerzan’s attorney had requested a bond reduction.
