Lincoln University finds next head football coach

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Lincoln Blue Tigers' football program has found its next leader. Moses Harper announced on social media on Wednesday night that he has accepted the head coaching job at the university.

Harper spent last season with the Nebraska Kearney football program where he was the team's wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. Recently, he also served as the Director of Football Operations and tight ends coach at Missouri Western during the 2022 football season.

Harper will take over for former Lincoln football coach Jermaine Gales, who resigned back in December after finishing his tenure with an 0-22 record with the Blue Tigers.

Under Harper's leadership, Lincoln will look to win its first football game since Oct. 19, 2019. The Blue Tigers will also prepare to transition to the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) for the 2024-2025 season.
