CAMDEN, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said three people were injured in a trooper-involved crash in Camden County on Sunday. One woman had to be flown from the scene.

Troop F spokesman Sgt. Scott White said the trooper was pulling back onto Highway 5 near the Lake of the Ozarks after a traffic stop.

Troopers said a truck driven by 71-year-old Gary Rooks was heading northbound on the highway and steered out of the way of the trooper. The report said Rooks crashed head-on with 18-year-old Valissa Corado who was driving on the other side of the road.

The report shows Rooks truck traveled off the side of the road.

Corado and her passenger, as well as Rooks were all taken to hospitals after the crash. Troopers said Corado had to be flown to Columbia for treatment. The report said she suffered serious injuries in the crash. A University Hospital spokesman said she was in critical condition as of Monday morning.

According to the crash report, debris from the crash hit the trooper's patrol vehicle. The trooper wasn't hurt in the wreck.
