Firefighters investigating cause of car fire north of Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County Fire Protection District is investigating after a car caught fire on Prathersville Road shortly before 3:00 Friday morning.

Gale Blomenkamp with BCFPD says only one car was involved and is a total loss. The fire also caused some minor damage to siding on a trailer.

No injuries were reported as a result of the car fire.

Blomenkamp said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
