RV catches fire in Columbia neighborhood

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Fire Department responded to a 911 call around 11 a.m. on Saturday stating that an RV was on fire.

When crews arrived on scene they found a 35 foot motor home completely engulfed on the 3500 block of Crabapple Lane in Columbia.

It took firefighters about ten minutes to put out the flames, and say the RV is a total loss.

The owner of the motor home also at one point tried to get into the motor home while it was on fire. Fire crews say he was attempting to move the vehicle away from his home.

No one was injured, and Columbia Fire Marshalls were on scene conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.
