Two extradited Dove Drive suspects set to make first court appearance Monday

Two of the three men who were extradited back to Boone County last week for their alleged involvement in shooting death of Deshon Houston are set to make their first court appearance Monday.

Deazes Turner will have his first scheduled hearing Monday at 9 a.m. followed by Alqueze Jones at 1:30 p.m. in the Boone County Courthouse. Deljuan Turner will make his first appearance in court on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

The three men are being charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in the June 2023 death of Deshon Houston on Dove Drive in Columbia.

They were arrested in Oklahoma earlier this month by the Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police. Muscogee Lighthorse Tribal Police spokesperson Jason Salsman told ABC 17 the arrests of the three suspects started with a traffic stop.
