Two juveniles detained in connection to shots fired report Saturday on Trimble Road in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two juveniles were detained on Sunday evening in connection to a report of shots fired Saturday evening in the 2600 block of Trimble Road in Columbia.

The Columbia Police Department said in a news release two juveniles were detained around 4:55 p.m. on Sunday.

One was detained on suspicion of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and child endangerment, according to the release.

Police said the second juvenile was detained on suspicion of juvenile delinquency and felony tampering with physical evidence, the release says.

Both were referred to the Boone County Juvenile Office.

Columbia police responded to three reports of shots fired on Saturday.

No injuries or property damage were reported for the shots fired incident on Trimble Road, according to a Sunday press release.

Police could not say if the shots fired incidents are connected. Property damage was seen in the 500 block of Wilkes Boulevard at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, but no injuries were reported, according to a Sunday press release. Another shots fired report occurred on 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the the 3300 block of Falling Leaf Lane and no injuries or property damage was reported, according to a Sunday release.
