Tracking fog and more clouds for Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog developing late into Wednesday morning. Lows in the upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy with morning fog. Highs in the upper 60s to around 70.

EXTENDED: Skies begin to break up a bit by Thursday, allowing temperatures to jump back into the low to mid-70s. The pattern begins to shift by Thursday into Friday, bringing in a more southwesterly flow in the upper levels of the atmosphere. That will usher in warmer air along with moisture to help fuel a few showers and thunderstorms by Friday, and a warm front approaches Missouri by Saturday. As that lifts north, temperatures get into the mid-80s and thunderstorms become more likely. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to be more widespread on Sunday and Monday as a cold front approaches, leaving us with about an inch of rainfall for the 3 day period through Tuesday. Temperatures remain in the upper 70s to around 80 for Memorial Day.
