Tracking more rain and thunderstorms for Saturday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild with lows in the low 60s.

TOMORROW: Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms. Some storms may bring heavy downpours, isolated small hail, and brief gusty winds.

EXTENDED: This cold front that brought our Thursday night storms will lift back north on Saturday and stall out through the day, triggering another round of showers and thunderstorms that could give us an additional 0.25" to 0.5" of rain by Sunday morning. A marginal risk for severe weather is in place north of Highway 50 for the threat of isolated small hail and brief gusty winds up to 40-50 mph in some of the storms. Rain looks to clear out by Sunday afternoon, leaving us a touch cooler during the day on Sunday and to start next week. This will set the tone for the next several days as we'll be underneath upper level high pressure next week, giving us dry weather and a gradual warm up back into the upper 70s by late in the week.
