Tracking big warm-up for tomorrow, storm chances this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

TOMORROW: More sunshine and much warmer. Muggy with highs in the low to mid-80s.

EXTENDED: We'll be on the warmer side of our next storm system on Saturday, allowing temperatures to soar into the 80s along with dew points rising into the mid-60s, making it feel like one of the first summer-like days of the season. Saturday remains mostly dry with a stout atmospheric cap in place, limiting storms from developing ahead of a cold front. However, as that front approaches Saturday night, storms are expected to fire up late into Sunday morning. Ingredients will be lacking for surface-based storms, meaning we could have a few storms on the stronger side overnight, but the main threat would be isolated large hail. Showers and storms move south/southeast early on Sunday, leaving us with a drier but cooler end to the weekend with highs dropping to the low 70s. We're keeping a close eye on Monday night into Tuesday morning for our next chance of active weather that could bring a shot at severe storms if the timing coincides with the most favorable conditions. Temperatures next week will be just below average with highs in the mid-upper 60s.
