Tracking Sunday rain chances

TODAY: We're waking up to some moderate rain in Pulaski and Phelps counties, and that's where we're tracking the possibility of rain throughout the span of the day. Light showers are expected throughout areas south of Highway 54 all day today. Spot showers are not out of the question throughout the whole viewing area today, but many of us will stay dry with cloudy skies. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s.

TONIGHT: Winds will shift, and clouds will begin clearing out as the system pushes out of the viewing area. Lows will be in the lower 40s.

EXTENDED: Another spot shower or storm is possible Monday afternoon, but these will move through quickly. Our best chance for a widespread system will come on Wednesday and stay with us through Thursday. More chances for rain and storms arrive next weekend. Temperatures will be right on par with the average, with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s all week.
