When taking a look at the Columbia, Missouri climatology for Easter Sunday, the average high typically sits close to 63 degrees, and the average low a little bit closer to 42.

Columbia will not be touching any of these records any time too soon. Typically we see a 42% chance of measurable precipitation. This year, the chances are looking even higher in Mid-Missouri. Thankfully, the region will not be seeing a chance of measurable snow, which typically sits at a 4%.

Temperatures are going to be a little bit warmer than average, closer to 71 degrees. The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team will be tracking showers and storms with winds a little bit more variable. The main thing we are going to be focusing on is the potential for showers and storms.

When looking at the available moisture in the environment, most of the morning into the early afternoon hours shows the possibility of enough available to fuel these storms.

Eventually we'll start to see moisture taper back off to the east and as we look off into Sunday evening, things really start to dry back out. We will be left with a decent amount of rainfall in a 24 hour time period on Easter Sunday.

Some areas to the southeast towards Osage county are going to be looking at just over 1" of rainfall. Columbia will be looking closer to about 1/2". Looking west of Columbia, totals really start to drop back off. Don't forget an umbrella and rain boots if you will be outdoors on Easter Sunday.
