TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Strong winds could gust to 50-55 mph through the day, with temperatures falling into the 40s by late afternoon. Light showers transition to light snow showers after sunset, leaving a light dusting on the grass by Thursday morning.

EXTENDED: Ahead of the front tomorrow, our warmest temperatures will be early in the day before winds shift back to the northwest late in the day/Wednesday night. Strong winds could gust between 50-55 mph at times, potentially causing power outages, limb damage, and tough driving conditions. A Wind Advisory is in effect area-wide with a High Wind Warning just to our northwest that includes the Kansas City area. Temperatures fall to the 40s by late afternoon with rain moving in after the lunch hour. Rain amounts will be light, only adding up to about 0.1". Rain could briefly change over to snow after sunset, leaving a dusting on the grass through about midnight or shortly thereafter. Road impacts are not expected, but Thursday morning will be cold with morning temperatures in the lower 30s. Expect highs to reach the lower 50s with sunshine on Thursday before clouds move back in on Friday. Friday will be warmer with highs in the lower to mid-60s and a low chance for a little rain in the evening. The weekend starts off with sunshine on Saturday, but a more potent low pressure system will bring a better shot at widespread rain and a few rumbles of thunder on Sunday. Rain amounts with that system will be around 0.5" to 0.75". We'll be around 60 degrees both days of the weekend.
