Tracking a mild and windy Monday to kick off a warm week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly with lows in the upper 30s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the lower 70s.
EXTENDED: We'll have a mild start to the week as upper high pressure builds over the region and winds pick up from the southwest tomorrow. A cold front is expected to stall out across our area on Tuesday, keeping temperatures in the lower 60s for the northern half of the area to the lower 70s for our southern counties. As that front lifts back north mid-week, we'll yet again see a rise in temperatures to nearly 20 degrees above average Wednesday and Thursday as we get back into the 70s. Friday will be warm and windy with highs in the upper 70s ahead of a cold front that will bring rain and storms by afternoon into the evening. Ingredients are already looking favorable for the potential for severe weather, so we'll keep an eye on the timing of the front to line up with these conditions. Behind the front, we drop back into the upper 50s by Saturday with a cooler, near seasonably average Sunday.
