Tracking a breezy and warm Friday before a cooler weekend
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with lows in the upper 30s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and windy with highs in the upper 60s. An elevated fire danger is expected as gusty winds could reach 30 mph with low humidity.
EXTENDED: Tonight will be chilly with lows in the upper 30s, but a strong southwest wind tomorrow will send temperatures into the upper 60s with sunshine. The fire danger will be high due to the combination of dry ground, strong winds, and low humidity. A dry cold front comes through tomorrow night, sending temperatures into the mid-upper 40s for highs. Sunday is looking similar but perhaps slightly warmer in the upper 40s with increasing clouds. I'm tracking low pressure that slides by to our south that could bring a few showers between late Sunday night and Monday. A deeper, more wide reaching system is expected to bring about an inch of rain on Tuesday through early Wednesday morning, along with a chance for thunderstorms. The severe risk is still highest to our south, but it will bear watching in the next few days as ingredients come together. It's looking like we'll see measurable rain and mild temperatures until the front slides east, dropping us into the 40s by Wednesday.
