Drying out today, more rain expected Friday

THIS AFTERNOON: Rainfall has tapered off for most of the region early this afternoon. Sunshine is going to make a few appearances, becoming a little bit more widespread after 4pm. Temperatures will rise into the mid and upper 60s.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies stick around as we continue to dry out. Lows make it back into the low 50's.

EXTENDED: Another round of rain moves in Friday. Scattered showers will be possible in the morning, but the better coverage along with the heavier rain will be toward the afternoon. Could hear a rumble of thunder or two, but again nothing severe. That rain will stick with us into the early morning hours on Saturday before exiting east. Saturday itself looks to stay dry but breezy. That cool northwest wind will keep temperatures in the upper 50's and low 60's in the afternoon. Sunday looks slightly more enjoyable with winds relaxing and temperatures in the middle 60's. Slight rain chances enter the picture Monday with highs getting back into the upper 60's to near 70. A more organized system holds off until Tuesday, when some showers and thunderstorms look like a better bet.
