Tracking pop-up storms and increasing humidity

THIS AFTERNOON: Isolated storms are possible south of Hwy 50, with lots of dry time elsewhere. High temperatures climb to the upper 80s with a heat index in the low 90s.

TONIGHT: Storms will fizzle out quickly after sunset, leaving skies mostly clear. Lows fall to the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: More pop-up storms are possible across the entire area on Thursday with increasing humidity, and a few storms will develop again on Friday afternoon. Drier weather is expected this weekend, but the heat will be brutal with a heat index near 100 on Saturday and Sunday. Triple-digit heat is also possible through Monday before the heat comes down later next week.
