Tracking high humidity and low rain chances this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Sunny and hot, with highs in the mid-80s and increased humidity. A few scattered showers are possible late afternoon through sunset.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy through midnight, then scattered showers and storms move in late overnight.

EXTENDED: Rain is expected into Friday morning, but the afternoon looks drier and hot with temperatures in the upper 80s with high humidity. Storms return late Friday night into Saturday morning, then we dry up again midday on Saturday. Rain chances increase late Saturday through Sunday, so don't expect as much dry time on Sunday. Temperatures remain hot in the upper 80s, and humidity will be high, pushing the heat index into the low 90s. More rain is likely for Monday, before we finally see a break later next week.
