THIS MORNING: Chilly to start with morning wind chills in the low 20s and teens.

TODAY: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the upper 40s to 50 degrees. Winds from the northwest may gust up to 30 mph.

EXTENDED: Warmer winds will send temperatures back to the 60s on Friday but will also contribute to an enhanced fire risk. Beneficial rain is expected this weekend as rain chances arrive late Saturday, and a few rumbles of thunder are possible overnight before showers exit on Sunday. This system will bring a widespread quarter and a half inch of rainfall, leaving seasonal conditions in its wake as highs remain in the low 60s early next week.
