Tracking a warmer afternoon with possible spotty showers
TODAY: Wednesday will be mostly dry, but spotty light showers will be possible through the day. Clouds will be persistent, and winds will be from a warm southwest direction. This keeps highs climbing to near 70 through the afternoon.
TONIGHT: A wind shift from the west will come this evening. Clouds will break up, but linger to a lesser degree overnight.
EXTENDED: We'll be cooler by a few degrees on Thursday, placing highs in the mid-60s. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected to bring a chance for spotty light showers again on Thursday, as another shortwave trough rolls around the back side of the first low. This is part of a deepening upper trough that keeps it cool here locally as it moves away. Temperatures will only reach into the 50s for highs on Friday, but dry weather is expected. The weekend continues to look dry, but we will warm into the 70s again on Sunday. This will lead to a chance for showers by Monday morning, but this is a low rain chance, with expectations currently centered on a mostly dry day.
