Abrams-Draine, Gaddy to declare for NFL Draft
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Two more defensive players on the Mizzou football team are officially starting their NFL journeys.
Defensive back Kris Abrams-Draine and defensive lineman Nyles Gaddy announced on social media that they will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Abrams-Draine spent his entire four-year collegiate career with the Tigers. He was a four-star wide receiver prospect in high school and played that position his freshman year before transitioning to defensive back as a redshirt freshman. As a defensive back, Abrams-Draine played in 38 games over three seasons, posting seven interceptions and 40 pass breakups.
Gaddy transferred to Mizzou for the 2023 season after spending the previous two years at Jackson State. He appeared in all 13 games for the Tigers this season, recording 22 total tackles, four tackles for loss and four sacks.
Mizzou now has five defensive players who are declaring for the NFL Draft. Abrams-Draine and Gaddy join Ennis Rakestraw, Darius Robinson and Jaylon Carlies as the Tigers on the defensive side of the ball who are planning to take their football talents to the next level.
