RECAP: Mizzou searches for new defensive coordinator, following Blake Baker’s departure

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team is looking for a new defensive coordinator, after former DC Blake Baker left his post for the same job at LSU, on Friday. That news came just 15 days after he had signed a contract extension with MU.

On social media, head coach Eli Drinkwitz said to Baker, "Your help in all we've accomplished cannot be denied. I enjoyed every minute of our journey together - but it's time for you to go on a new path - God's speed."

In another post, Coach Eli said the search has already begun for a new leader of the Tiger defense.

ABC 17 Sports Director Nathalie Jones recapped what the days leading up to Baker's departure looked like and who could be next for Mizzou, on SportsZone. You can watch that full recap in the video player above.
