Mizzou’s Manuel, McGuire, Banister to speak at SEC Media Days
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou football team is bringing senior defensive back Martez Manuel, senior defensive lineman Isaiah McGuire, and graduate student wide receiver Barrett Banister to talkin' time in Atlanta.
The 2022 edition of SEC Football Media Days will kick off on Monday, July 18, as head coach Eli Drinkwitz will make his second-ever appearance.
Manuel will make the trip after missing all of spring camp due to an elbow injury, however, Drinkwitz has since said that the senior is healthy. The Rock Bridge alum was a fixture on the MU defense in 2021, standing as a captain with 77 tackles.
McGuire also had a standout junior campaign for the Tigers. He played in 12 out of Mizzou's 13 games, accumulating 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, and 42 total tackles.
Banister is the veteran of the group, coming in as a sixth-year player. The Arkansas-native finished his senior season with 31 receptions for 226 yards.
Mizzou is slated to talk on the first day of SEC Media Days in Atlanta. ABC 17 Sports Director Nathalie Jones and ABC 17's Chanel Porter will have live coverage from Georgia beginning on Sunday night.
