COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man is accused of driving into a building and colliding his vehicle into two parked police vehicles at 3:27 a.m. Thursday morning in Mexico, Missouri, according to a press release from the Mexico Public Safety Department.

The release says that police were made aware that a building in the 200 block of East Liberty Street in Mexico was hit by a vehicle before a 2011 Ford Escape hit their patrol vehicles. The release says the 52-year-old driver was having mental health issues at the time of the crashes.

The man had minor injuries and the building and all vehicles involved were damaged, the release says. The man was brought to University Hospital in Columbia by ambulance.
