An 88-year-old Hermann woman was killed in a Friday crash on Highway 100 in Franklin County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to the report, the woman was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger east on the road, crossed the center line and hit a 2019 Freightliner M2 – driven by a 25-year-old St. Joseph man – and a 2014 Freightliner M2 – driven by a 28-year-old St. Louis man that were heading in the opposite direction.

Drivers of both Freightliners tried to slow down as the Ford went toward them, the report says.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the report says. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The Ford was totaled.

The Freightliners had minor damage and both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to the report.
