Rollover crash shuts down part of Highway 124 in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Several people suffered minor injuries in a Boone County rollover crash Wednesday morning.

Boone County Joint Communications sent an alert about the crash shortly before 6 a.m. About ten minutes later, deputies with the Boone County Sheriff's Office closed down both directions in the 4100 block of Highway 124.

Deputies at the scene told ABC 17 News crews that though multiple people suffered minor injuries, no one was transported to the hospital for treatment.

According to deputies, a silver Ford was driving over the center lane, causing the driver of a brown Kia to swerve out of the way. When the Ford tried to correct at the same time, the cars hit each other.

The eastbound lane of Highway 124 was still closed shortly after 7 a.m.

Deputies said everyone in the cars had seat belts on at the time of the crash, and airbags deployed as they were supposed to.
