CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office has identified the passenger who was arrested in an alleged stolen vehicle chase.

Callaway County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Crystal Kent told ABC 17 News that Orion Kenneth Mullins, 31, was arrested in a home in Fulton on Sunday. Mullins is charged with misdemeanor second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and is being held at the Callaway County Jail on a $5,000 bond, according to court documents.

Law enforcement identified the driver of the stolen vehicle as Dillion Johnson, 33, of Jefferson City. He has felony no bond warrants for his arrest and is considered armed and dangerous.

"We would want the public to be extremely cautious if they see Dillion Johnson anywhere to consider him armed and dangerous," Kent said.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office said early Saturday evening they were looking for armed people near the 7700 block of Route O.

"A pursuit ensued in the city streets of Fulton and went out on route O, where the vehicle went about 2,500 feet off the road way down a ATV trail and the driver bailed on foot from there," Kent said.

The sheriff's office said deputies reviewed license plate camera data and surveillance footage to track the vehicle's route. Video from the Millersburg Short Stop in Fulton confirmed the stolen white Chevrolet Suburban stopped at the gas station, according to a Sunday press release.

Kent said, "after we put those videos out our social media blew up and crime stoppers blew up with all kinds of tips from our community which we appreciate,"

The incident unfolded Saturday afternoon when deputies chased a vehicle that also contained a stolen gun, according to a weekend social media post from the sheriff's office. The vehicle eventually entered a -field, and deputies lost sight of it. A K-9 track later helped find the vehicle, along with a pistol magazine.

Residents were urged to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to the department. Residents are also asked to lock and remove the keys from their vehicles and farm equipment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol helped in the search and are now reactionary at this point, according to Sgt. Kyle Green with MSHP Troop F.
