Forum to be held for local Missouri House candidates in Jefferson City Wednesday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City News Tribune will be holding a forum for local candidates running for the Missouri House 6 p.m. Tuesday at city hall.

The forum will be moderated by News Tribune Editor Gary Castor, and will pose questions from the News tribune staff and community members to the candidates.

In the race for District 60, Republican incumbent Dave Griffith is facing a challenge from Democrat Jamie Howard.

From District 49, Republican incumbent Jim Schulte will go up against Democrat Jessica O'Neal-Silz.

Rudy Veit, who is running unopposed is also expected to attend the forum from District 59. Willard Haley of the 58th District was also invited, but is unable to attend.

People can submit their questions to candidates via email to vote@newstribune.com.
