Rough landing for small aircraft at Fulton airport

Fulton plane incident 12-08
Fulton police say an incident at the city's airport was caused by a problem with a plane's landing gear.

No one was hurt after an incident at the Elton Hensley Memorial Airport in Fulton Sunday.

A spokesperson with the airport said the pilot had an issue with the plane's landing gear.

Fulton first responders were called to the scene just before 5 p.m. Sunday. Police said the small plane was still on the runway when authorities arrived. Sgt. Reams with the police department said there was no major damag to the runway.

Fulton officers said the small aircraft involved was a Piper Comanche. It's unclear what caused the incident. No other planes or people were involved in the crash.
