Crash disrupts power in part of Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Power was cut to part of Jefferson City after a crash into a utility pole Monday afternoon.

The crash happened in the 500 block of Belair Drive in the northwestern part of the city at about 2:40 p.m., according to a news release from the Jefferson City Police Department. A Chevrolet truck went off the road after the driver lost consciousness and hit a utility pole, the release says.

The crash knocked out power in the area and traffic was restricted for three hours, police say.

The driver, David Fishwick, 52, of Bland, Missouri, had only minor injuries, according to police.
