COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

MU Health Care is extending its Saturday morning drive-thru flu shot clinic for the next two weeks at its South Providence Medical Park.

The clinics were going to end last Saturday but will continue through Nov. 14.

The event offers car-side flu shots to anyone six months and older from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday.

Officials are reporting that more than 5,000 shots have been administered since Sept. 19.

Recipients are asked to wear a mask, loose clothing and short-sleeves if possible. All patients will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and asked to review and sign a consent form before receiving a flu shot in their vehicle.
