Fire burns Fulton carport, damages house

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

A fire damaged a carport and attic at a Fulton home Tuesday.

Firefighters were sent a little after 1 p.m. to 400 S. Ravine St. and found heavy fire in the carport on the north side of the house, according to a Fulton Fire Department news release. The South Callaway Fire Protection District provided aid.

No one was found inside the home but firefighters rescued a dog, which was not hurt, the release says.

The fire damage was limited to the carport and attic but other parts of the house had smoke and water damage. The cost of the damage is estimated at $65,000.
