Fulton police arrest man twice on New Year’s Day

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Police arrested a man Friday morning for a DWI and possession of marijuana after responding to a suspicious vehicle in the middle of the road at Randall and Gary Streets.

Officials say the driver, Thomas Epperson, was taken into custody and released.

Minutes after being released, Fulton police responded to the tow company that removed Epperson's vehicle.

The company reported Epperson's vehicle was stolen.

Police soon found Epperson along with the vehicle in the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

Fulton police took Epperson back into custody a second time for 2nd-degree burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle.

Epperson is currently at the Callaway County Jail and being held without bond.
