FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Public School announced on Thursday that the school district has a new Assistant Superintendent.

School district spokeswoman Karen Snethen said Chris Hubbuch will start working at Fulton Public Schools July 1 and will take over for the 2020-2021 school year.

Hubbuch is currently the director of secondary education at the St. Joseph School District. Snethen said he's previously served as a middle school principal and assistant principal at the Excelsior Springs School District.

Fulton Superintendent Jacque Cowherd announced he's retiring at the end of the school year. The district hired a search firm in November to help find a new school official.
