COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Roads were shut down behind the Grindstone Walmart in Columbia when a large fire started Saturday afternoon just before 5 p.m. Around 6:30 p.m., employees were let back into the store and fire crews started to leave the scene.

Gray Oak Drive was shut down for the fire response. Large clouds of black smoke were seen coming from behind the building. Employees were evacuated from the building and seen standing in the parking lot.

ABC 17 asked Columbia Fire Department how the fire started and is working to learn more.
