$1.8 million dollar gift given to the college of business at Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The University of Missouri's Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business received a gift of $1.8 million dollars from Sue and Irl Engelhardt.

The money will be used to help first-generation rural students achieve academic success at Mizzou.

“Students are the lifeblood of any great university, and the Engelhardts’ gift has ensured access and opportunity for many future Tigers,” said Mun Y. Choi, University of Missouri president in a release. “Thanks to their generosity, we will be able to provide even greater opportunities to students from rural communities seeking to blaze a trail in business.”

The gift was provided by the Heartland Scholars Academy which offers program-specific technologies and helps provide tools and resources for those programs.
