One year later, Mizzou prepares for in-person 2020 graduation

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The University of Missouri is preparing to welcome back 2020 graduates for graduation festivities, taking place Saturday and Sunday in Columbia.

There will be 1,500 students taking part in graduation festivities, according to a Mizzou spokesman.

Commencement ceremonies begin Saturday, with four ceremonies taking place at Mizzou Arena throughout the day.

Ceremony times on Saturday are:

  • 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
  • 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A live stream of every graduation ceremony will be available to watch on the University's website.

Graduates were required to sign up in order to participate. With registration now being closed, Mizzou officials are reminding graduates and their families that walk-ups will not be accepted.

Those who earned graduate and professional degrees in 2020 will also have a chance to walk the stage, with their graduation ceremony set for Sunday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board and Mizzou Alumni Association will also welcome graduates to take part in the Tiger Prowl and Senior Sendoff.
