Update needed on Columbia Public Schools tablets ahead of return to learn

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Some Columbia Public Schools families may need to update their school-issued tablets before the return to learn Tuesday.

In a letter to kindergarten through 8th grade families, CPS said some iPads are having trouble connecting to the internet and other applications.

To fix the problem, the district said the iPads need to be plugged into power then completely shut down. Once the tablet reboots, it will take several hours to fix the connectivity problem.

CPS said if families are still have trouble, teachers are ready to be flexible for the first week of school.

Technology Services will be at the entrance to all CPS middle schools from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and at the Aslin Administration Building from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
